[Counselling Psychology SIG]: Using Systemic Ideas in Facilitating Client Decision Making

Counselling Psychology SIG invites you to attend a training on using systemic ideas when facilitating client decisions.

Clients often consult a therapist to make decision on a specific matter. Despite this, the helping professionals have little training on helping clients to make these crucial decisions. This 1.5 hour session will be a skill based training on utilising systemic ideas to draw out the process of facilitating decision making.

Speaker – Boon Huat

Boon Huat is in private practice, doing mainly supervision work with counsellors, social workers and psychologists. He has published research on counselling and marital therapy, and has been involved in the training of professional counsellors and in consultancy work with social service agencies.
